Can You Turn An Armoire Into An Environmental ARToire?

Are you an artist?

Would you like to paint a solid wood armoire with an environmental image to raise money to plant trees in Haiti? How about a round or oval table?

Painted On The Mooooove Cows are Cool, but Painted Furniture

is Functional & Valuable...

The Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood, Florida selected Operation Green Leaves to be their partner in an innovative program designed to recycle as much used furniture as possible. As rooms in this 5-star resort are renovated, the current inventory is transported to a warehouse in Miami prior to shipment to Haiti.

The recent destruction of homes in many of the rural areas intended as the destination for bedding and other useful items has created a delay in shipping. So, we need to raise some money to pay for the warehouse space, loading crew, truck and ship transportation.

We call it a BlueGreen Project, so the art would be of the ocean or the land. We will try to set up a display during Art Basel Miami Beach in December that would call attention to the need to reforest Haiti.

The Functional Furniture ART will  be sold with the proceeds

Plant a Tree in Haiti Campaign

Sibley Middle School in North Miami..

Finished Furniture Art will be on display in the Miami Mid-Century Art & Antiques Gallery thru May 2009. Visit the Gallery in the Wynwood Arts District during Art Basel Miami Beach 2008.
