Operation Green Leaves Inc.'s Quarterly Newsletter

19th Year Anniversary Edition

Dear Nadine,

This year, on September 29th,  Operation Green Leaves will be celebrating its 19th year Anniversary. Operation Green Leaves was created in 1991 by a group of Haitian and American who were really concerned with the downward spiral of Haiti's environment. Operation Green Leaves Inc. has since then been working tirelessly with passion and dedication to inspire, and ecourage our brothers and sisters in Haiti to reforest their homeland before it is too late while motivating them to take their destiny into their own hands of course with the guidance and assistance of our creator. Operation Green Leave's main office is located in Miami, Florida where they also provide hands-on environmental education to the under-served communities of South Florida.

The journey has been long and hard, but with our board members, members & volunteers' dedication and determination we will continue to work hard and diligently to strive to one day see all the mountains and valleys of Haiti green with lush healthy forests.

I am please to report that we have more than 20 partner organizations in Haiti. The good news is that they now understand how important restoring Haiti's environment is to improving their life, health and the status of their homeland. Everyday Operation Green Leaves get requests from current partner organizations and other grass roots organizations who are ready to join the  movement.

In these hard economic times, our chanllenge is even harder to meet. Today as an anniversary gift we are asking for your financial support. Operation Green Leaves Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c ) 3 organization. Your donations are tax-deductible. Make the decision today to be part of the solution and support our efforts by sending your donation to: Operation Green Leaves Inc. P.O.Box 5254, Coral Gables, Florida 33114. You can also choose to become a member if you are not yet one. Our membership form is online at www.oglhaiti.com. Print one today and send it in with your donation.

So members, friends and supporters,  The need is Urgent...The choice is simple...the people of Haiti await your help...Let the message of hope begin with you.

Finally I leave you today with this inspiring quote..."Change will  not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.  We are the ones we've been waiting for.  We are the change that we seek.
